Glenview is situated in an environment of immense natural beauty, an environment that we feel is our responsibility to protect and preserve. As new proprietors of Glenview we have clear environmental aims and goals for the future.

• We plan to install a poly tunnel, allowing us to grow as much fresh produce as possible, thus cutting down on food  miles for our restaurant.
• Our food miles are reduced again by promoting the local produce of Skye and Scotland as often as possible.
• Both our red and white house wines are fair trade, as are our tea and coffee.
• The future of our marine life is an ever growing concern and we put great time into sourcing fresh sustainable fish from our suppliers.

There are many energy and environmentally friendly changes that we can implement immediately as even the smallest of changes and habits can make a difference.

• We recycle waste paper, glass etc where possible and all rooms have their own recycle bins.
• We compost all the kitchens raw material waste, which in return is great for our garden.
• We try to use environmentally friendly cleaning products where we can.
• We use recycled toilet tissue, napkins and facial tissues.
• We use low energy light bulbs where we can.
• Luxury bathroom miniatures have been replaced with refillable pump dispensers reducing drastically our plastic waste. All the soap products we use are made in Scotland.
